This is directed at the incredibly stupid people of California. Here is what you are not seeing in the print or television media about the California tax extension ballot proposal supported by Governor Jerry Brown and the democrats in Sacramento.
Governor Jerry Brown wants to foist the decision of extending taxes on the few tax paying Californians left in the state. They want to put this on the voters for a multitude of reasons, but the biggest reason is because Brown knows that the unions will use scare tactics to con the stupid voters into passing his tax extensions.
For those of you outside the state, scare tactics are why the state of California sits on the edge of bankruptcy today.
Governor Brown is acting at the behest of the very unions that got him elected in the first place.
What most people around the country fail to realize is states like Wisconsin and California are states where the people employed by the state, county and city governments rival the number of people employed by the private sector.
I have had discussions with government working friends of mine that use the argument that they pay taxes too.
That is all well and good, but if you are being paid by the same source that you pay taxes to, it doesn’t take a rocket surgeon to figure out that if you make a thousand dollars a week, and you pay twenty percent back in taxes, that you are costing the system more money then you are putting back into the system.
The numbers vary, but it has been said that one person employed by the state of California that makes $100,000 a year, actually costs the state $500,000 a year to employ.
This is one of the many reasons the state has to constantly raise taxes. Because more money is being taken out of the system by the greedy union rank and file then is being put back in.
This greedy rank and file would include but not be limited to firemen, police, teachers, prison guards and Cal-Trans workers.
Its these unions that are probably producing frightening commercials in favor of tax extensions as we speak.
These commercials will feature firemen, police and teachers, and they will be threatening to take away fire and police personnel and tell us how are kids are going to be even dumber and the prisons will have to let criminals out early because of guards being laid off.
Its the same old tripe from the usual suspects which is designed to scare the stupid and inept into passing a democrat supported tax extension that will keep these worthless people employed for another two years but not do a God damned thing to fix the budget.
So before the scary commercials begin to run, before these glorified welfare recipients try to frighten you into giving away more of your hard earned money to the state to keep them living fat, I thought I would ask you all a few questions.
When was the last time you saw a house burning in your neighborhood? When was the last time you heard about a house or apartment fire on the news?
The fact is that its not like house fires happen every day.
When was the last time you saw a cop on your street? The fact there is with the exception of the ghettos of California where people that seem to believe that painting graffiti and shooting each other is the norm, you rarely see cops on your street.
As far as the teachers in California go, I figure we should make them all re-apply for their jobs and only hire the teachers that actually teach.
The California educational system is the laughing stock of not only America, but the world.
Here in California we actually give diplomas to people that cannot speak a word of English!
So when this comes to a vote, and it will because the union commercials are already running on local access, the decision will be, do we want to continue to spend the most for the least amount of work? Or do we want reform? It will be your call California. Please make the right decision. JD
