NY Daily News endorses Mitt Romney for president

Its pretty sad when one of the most liberal rags in the nation endorses Mitt Romney for president over one of their own, Barrack Obama. I am telling you all that this is going to be a landslide victory for Romney. JD

America’s heart, soul, brains and muscle — the middle- and working-class people who make this nation great — have been beset for too long by sapping economic decline.
So, too, New York breadwinners and families.
Paychecks are shrunken after more than a decade in which the workplace has asked more of wage earners and rewarded them less. The decline has knocked someone at the midpoint of the salary scale back to where he or she would have been in 1996.

Then, the subway fare, still paid by token, was $1.50, gasoline was $1.23 a gallon and the median rent for a stabilized apartment was $600 a month. Today, the base MetroCard subway fare is $2.25, gasoline is in the $3.90 range and the median stabilized rent is $1,050, with all the increases outpacing wage growth.
A crisis of long duration, the gap between purchasing power and the necessities of life widened after the 2008 meltdown revealed that the U.S. economy was built on toothpicks — and they snapped.
Nine million jobs evaporated. The typical American family saw $50,000 vanish from its net worth, and its median household income dropped by more than $87 a week. New Yorkers got off with a $54 weekly hit.
Our leaders owed us better than lower standards of living, and we must have better if the U.S. is to remain a beacon of prosperity . . .

Dick Morris, Here Comes The Landslide

I have been saying all year that this election is going to be a Romney landslide and Obama is going to get creamed. Here it comes. Dick Morris sites many reasons in this article as to why Obama is going to lose by a landslide. JD

Voters have figured out that President Obama has no message, no agenda and not even much of an explanation for what he has done over the past four years. His campaign is based entirely on persuading people that Mitt Romney is a uniquely bad man, entirely dedicated to the rich, ignorant of the problems of the average person. As long as he could run his negative ads, the campaign at least kept voters away from the Romney bandwagon. But once we all met Mitt Romney for three 90-minute debates, we got to know him — and to like him. He was not the monster Obama depicted, but a reasonable person for whom we could vote.

New Orleans Crowd Walks Out On Madonna After She Tells Them To Vote For Obama

When is Madonna going to realize that her career is over and hang up the pointy breasts? It must not have taken very long for all two of the concertgoers to get up and walk out on her.

At this point in the game I don’t know who to feel worse for, Madonna or the Strolling Bones. At least the Rolling Stones have a legacy of music to leave behind.

Madonna on the other hand has become a parody of herself, doing almost anything to get a headline on the second to last page of the local paper.

Face it Madonna. You have turned into an old shrew. Its time to fade to black. JD

Madonna drew boos and triggered a walkout by several concertgoers after she touted President Barack Obama on her “MDNA Tour” in New Orleans.

The Material Girl asked during Saturday night’s performance: “Who’s registered to vote?” She added: “I don’t care who you vote for as long as you vote for Obama.” Drawing boos in touting Obama over Republican Mitt Romney, Madonna followed: “Seriously, I don’t care who you vote for … Do not take this privilege for granted. Go vote.”

Madonna is often outspoken. Some Colorado fans, mindful of a mass shooting there, complained she used a fake gun to shoot a masked gunman in a recent concert act in Denver. A Madonna concert in Paris in July drew ire when a video showed a swastika on a politician’s forehead.

Los Angeles Times Online Poll Has Obama 52, Romney 48

I was clicking about the internet this morning and found something interesting on The Los Angeles Times website that I thought I would mention here.

Its an article titled “California poll shows Obama with smaller lead” which as usual with the Times is a misleading title because its pretty much a fluff piece of propaganda extolling the greatness of the messiah and at the same time portraying Mitt Romney as a pariah.

The entire article is racially divisive and constantly compares white voters to their black counterparts.

Its amazing to me that the media does this, because before anything else, aren’t we all Americans first? Why should color matter? In fact most media outlets are writing their mindless drivel with the assumption that all white people will not vote for Obama simply because he is half black but completely leave out the fact that he is half white too.

Its as if the half white part of Obama shouldn’t matter. In fact, why does the media not call Obama half white? After all his mother is a white woman.

By thinking of it like this, one would be inclined to realize that color doesn’t matter in this case. Unless of course you are of some other racial makeup.

Anyway, here is another link to the article and at the top as of 10:20 this morning there was a poll there asking people that supported Obama in 2008 if they will vote for him again and it was 52% no 48% yes.

Now before you go off half cocked, I understand that this poll is not scientific and it could simply be a bunch of Romney shills clicking “no” repeatedly, but it could be a bunch of Obama shills too, right?

Vandals Torch Romney Signs, Howey-in-the-Hills police search for vandals

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. -
Police are searching for the vandals who apparently torched more than a dozen campaign signs and American flags in a Howey-in-the-Hills veteran’s yard.

William Overbay said someone ignited the flags and signs, which supported Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, that he had lined along his yard. The vandals also painted a sign on his driveway reading “Obama for life,” at his DuPont Circle home, Overbay said.

“This is the first thing I saw was this sign painted on my driveway,” Overbay said.

Howey-in-the-Hills police say no one left any clues behind to identify themselves. Overbay said as a Vietnam-era veteran, the hard feelings caused by the vandalism run deep.

“To give that many years for my country and to see it desecrated in such a despicable way angers me,” Overbay said. “We have freedom of speech and to desecrate any kind of signs is absolutely despicable and a violation of the constitution of the United States.”

Overbay said he’ll be replacing the destroyed signs and flags in time for the election.
