Mark Berndt And The Miramonte School Scandal Rocks LAUSD

I don’t know how much national coverage this story is getting, so I thought I would post it here to call attention to Los Angeles Unified School District and the horrific teachers unions that protect people like Mark Berndt and many other sex predators passing themselves off as teachers.

The most important thing here are the children, not the teachers and their jobs. But the unions routinely choose to protect these miscreants and sell the children right down the river. JD

The longtime Los Angeles teacher accused of committing lewd acts on 23 children was investigated for allegedly fondling a girl in 1994, but no charges were filed, authorities said.

Mark Berndt, 61, was investigated for alleged lewd acts on a child in January 1994 after officials at Miramonte Elementary School reported “an attempted fondling,” Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Dan Scott said.

A girl, who was 10 or 11 years old at the time, said Berndt attempted to fondle her over her clothing near her genital area, Scott said. The allegation was investigated by a sheriff’s detective and presented to the district attorney’s office, which rejected the case, Scott said.

The district attorney’s office declined to comment, saying it was prohibited by law from discussing cases more than 60 days old in which charges were not filed.

Scott said he discovered the case Wednesday evening while reviewing records.

L.A. schools Supt. John Deasy confirmed that he, too, had learned of an episode of alleged inappropriate behavior by Berndt “sometime in the 1990s.”

“I don’t have any records in the district of it,” he said. “It’s in the sheriff’s office.”

Deasy has assembled an internal investigative team to examine Berndt’s case and determine if there is a record of past incidents or suspicions about Berndt. So far, the district team has turned up no such internal records, he said.

More details are starting to emerge about Berndt, who was arrested Monday and taught at Miramonte Elementary School in South L.A. for three decades. He is accused of blindfolding children as part of a “tasting game” and spoon-feeding them his semen. In some cases, the children were gagged, sheriff’s officials said, and sometimes he placed giant Madagascar cockroaches on their faces.

Giants fan beaten at Dodger Stadium into coma

This is exactly what is wrong with Los Angeles. When a person cannot go to a sporting event and root for the opposing team without fearing for his or her life, something is horribly wrong.

Leave to to The Los Angeles Times to post artists sketches of the two assailants, but be too afraid of L.A.’s predominantly Hispanic population (many of which are the product of illegal alien parents) to offer a written description of these two miscreants.

Well let me go ahead and describe them here so that with any luck, we can help to put these sorry wastes of oxygen in prison with the rest of the animals.

They are Latino men in their late teens or early 20s. One was wearing a tank top, the other a Dodgers jersey. One had a shaved head and it almost guaranteed that they are associated with one of the thousands of gangs that think this kind of behavior is okay.

These kinds of things would not happen if we did not have laws that allow only criminals to possess firearms. Randy

San Francisco Pot Shop Offers Free Joints For Every Giants Home Run

You gotta love stories like these. San Francisco, the starting place for virtually every stupid idea that has helped to ruin California and the entire nation, is at it again. Giving away free weed for home runs isn’t surprising from this band of miscreants.

Someone needs to tell the people of San Francisco that its 2010, not 1968. For those of you that have never been there, there are actually still people that walk about town unshaven in their tie dye tee shirts and sporting the whole beatnik look so popular in the sixties.

With any luck a massive earthquake will break the whole region off into the ocean and take all the stoners and hippies with it. JD

Bay Area fans were already flying high Thursday after the Giants took a 1-0 World Series lead over the Texas Rangers. And a San Francisco marijuana dispensary plans to keep them that way.

For every home run the Giants hit during the World Series, ReLeaf Herbal Center is offering Giants fans present at the pot shop one free joint, TMZ reported.

The Giants were victorious over the Texas Rangers Wednesday night in Game 1 of the World Series. Third baseman Juan Uribe had the only homer for the Giants in the 11-7 win.

Moreno Valley man admits slitting throat of teen runaway

Here is an article about illegal immigrants, or the product of illegal immigrants, and what they did to a young lady while they killed her. These miscreants stabbed the girl 133 times, repeatedly raped her and lit her hair on fire while she was still alive. Bob

An 18-year-old being tried for torture and murder in the death of a 16-year-old Moreno Valley girl admitted in court Thursday that he killed her.

Jose Solorza said he slit Kayla Wood’s throat and left her to die in a burning building because he feared for his life and the life of his cousin, Anthony Bobadilla, 19.

Solorza said he was afraid of Roman Aldana, because he had his gun.

If convicted of murder, torture and arson, Solorza faces life in prison without parole. Aldana faces the death penalty if convicted. Solorza was ineligible for the death penalty because he was 15 when the killing occurred.

In January, Bobadilla pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and agreed to testify in exchange for a 23-year prison sentence.

The three men are charged with carrying out a 45-minute attack on Kayla, a group-home runaway. She was stabbed 133 times, raped with beer bottles and someone attempted to set her hair on fire during the Sept. 9, 2006 incident.

“Did you kill Kayla?” Supervising Deputy District Attorney John Henry asked Solorza during cross-examination.

“Yes,” Solorza said softly.

Henry asked Solorza why, a question he said he avoided several times when police asked.

“I don’t know how to answer that question,” Solorza said.

Henry showed a photo of an open gash across Kayla’s neck and told Solorza, “You did that to her.”

“I feel bad about everything,” Solorza said.

Solorza testified that the morning of the killing Aldana, then 19, asked him if he was “down to get” Kayla. Solorza told police Aldana feared he had gotten Kayla pregnant and said she had witnessed him shooting somebody. Solorza told him he had a razor blade and Aldana told him to “do it.”

“I didn’t want him to do that to me,” Solorza said. “I was just trying to leave. I didn’t want to be there.”

Solorza told police Aldana stabbed her as well. Henry said both were laughing during the attack.

Solorza met Aldana and Kayla through a friend a few days before she was killed. He said they were both homeless and living in a park in Moreno Valley until he offered to let them stay at his mother’s former house on Cactus Avenue.

Both Kayla and Solorza were group-home runaways. Solorza said Kayla looked skinny and Aldana wanted to “fatten her up” to work for him as a prostitute.

Solorza told police he thought she was ugly and Aldana should leave her.

Solorza and Aldana both had sex with Kayla in the shower when Solorza poked her with a screw driver.

He said he and Aldana both stabbed her and Aldana became angry when Solorza didn’t cut Kayla deep enough. Prosecutors showed a photo of three long cuts on Kayla’s leg that Solorza circled as his doing. He also stabbed her in the chest and in the genitals.

“Roman said I wasn’t it doing it right. I couldn’t do it, so I did it on her leg instead,” Solorza said.

When showed a series of tools, including a screw driver and a knife handle, Solorza told his defense attorney Eric Keen he couldn’t remember what he used to stab Kayla.

Aldana forced Bobadilla to watch while they attacked Kayla and told him to do something so he punched her and threw a toaster at her, Solorza testified Thursday.

During an argument, Kayla ran to hide in a closet until Solorza pulled her out and resumed the attack. As he stabbed her, he told her, “You’re going to die in seven days,” according to Bobadilla’s testimony.

Solorza testified that following the attack, Kayla stood up and came at him with a screw driver. He described it as “Dawn of the dead” and punched her until she fell back into the bathtub where she bled to death.

Solorza said Aldana began lighting fires in the house that Solorza tried to put out. He put a blanket over Kayla’s body as she lay in a full bathtub and then he left the scene.

Police said Kayla was still alive when they left the house.

“Did you try to do anything to help her?” Keen said.

“I told her to leave. I was leaving too,” Solorza said. “After all the stuff that happened to her, I didn’t mean to do that stuff.”
