For Democrats, Bipartisan means our way or no way

After the stunning defeat of Obama’s policies in last November’s elections, Republicans were once again handed control of congress by the people.

It seems the people had grown weary of a president and a congress that simply disregarded the words “will of the people” and went forward with an agenda that the people did not want.

What was really interesting to me was that once the democrats had lost control of the house and had last seats in the senate as well, we the people had the opportunity to see the democratic hypocrisy in action once again.

This hypocrisy came in the form of words from the left like “bipartisan cooperation” and “willing to work with the republicans.” The leftist media, unwilling to accept the stunning defeat of Obama’s November Rebuke by the people, went all out trying to make the newly elected Republicans out to be charlatans and snake oil salesmen.

All of this came after two years of of blatant ignorance of the people and their input with regard to health care reform and all of the other socialist crap from the left.

Flash forward to the last week in Wisconsin, where democrats have lost control of the state legislature. Along comes legislation that they don’t like and what do the democrats do?

They refuse to show up for a vote. Rumor has it that they are holed up in a hotel (probably at the tax payers expense) somewhere in Illinois, and flatly refuse to come back to Wisconsin for a vote on dismantling part of their own socialist plank.

That would be a vote to end collective bargaining agreements with unions, that are bankrupting the state of Wisconsin.

What is even more amazing is that the media refuses to call these democrats for their piss poor behavior. No, the media, hell bent on turning America into France, blames the republican governor for daring to hold the democrats collective feet to the fire by forcing a vote on the issue.

Meanwhile, the liberal Wisconsin courts refuse to back the people and more importantly, the children of the people of the great state of Wisconsin and instead, back the unionized teachers and the democrats by refusing to force the democrats back to the legislature.

What this country needs is a revolution. I’m not talking about a call to arms. I am talking about taking control of America back for the people and by the people.

America has not had a “representative government” in fifty years. Politicians from both sides of the isle get into office and completely disregard what their constituents want.

How do we revolt? Well one simple way to revolt is to simply not file a tax return. They can still take our taxes out of our checks, but if we all stopped filing a tax returns they would be unable to cook the books and figure out what they have to spend.

Another way is to not vote. If no one voted, and I mean mo one, there could be no election process, therefore there could be no congress.

Just a thought. One day the people of America will revolt. With any luck it will be in my lifetime.

Democrats Suddenly Against Health Care Reform, Other Socialist Obama Agenda Issues

Obama the clown funny obama clown idiot

Here we go again. What we are witnessing today in Washington is yet another egregious attempt by politicians to keep themselves in office. Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and their ilk are quietly backing away from their liberal ideology in an attempt to keep their jobs.

Its important here to keep things in perspective and not be sold another bill of goods by these charlatans. After all, these are the same people that completely disregarded what the people had to say on health care reform.

These are the same democrats that sat about ridiculing the Tea Party members and calling them Nazis and racists for daring to oppose Obama, not because of the color of his skin, but because they disagreed with his political ideas.

Now the democrats suddenly see the destruction that lay behind them and they want to be centrist democrats.

Its as if the democrats in Washington suddenly realized that “Change” wasn’t bringing America to the brink of socialism, its fixing the problems in Washington.

Obama and the house democrats were drunk with power. We as Americans must never forget that. They ignored their constituents and went along with Obama and his redistribution of wealth.

All politicians in Washington seem to forget that they represent the will of their constituents. Republican David Dreier is a perfect example of this. Dreier routinely ignores us out here in California and votes for what he thinks we need.

I have said time and time again that it doesn’t matter what out REPRESENTATIVES think. Its what their constituents want that matters here. They are elected to represent us.

We have been saying for years that in order to have effective change, there is only one solution. We call it “Shuffle the Deck.” This means that every election cycle, you vote the incumbent out of office whether they be democrat or republican.

By doing this these people never become powerful. They are not there long enough to screw things up. It would send an ominous message to all politicians.

We the people are tired of the bull shit. Now is the time to effect real change in Washington.

We are voting tea party all the way. We figure that anything is better then the motards that currently occupy Washington. JD

Tea Party Spoils the Party for GOP Establishment Candidates

I guess the national media doesn’t get it. The “Tea Party” movement isn’t about republicrat and democan, its about removing these scumbag incumbents from office.

We have a system whereas the people that retain office for long periods of time become corrupt. The easiest way to defeat the system, or remove the cancer, is to to remove the cancer from the body completely. In this case the body in question is the body politic, and the tumor has been diagnosed as malignant.

So be they democrat or republican, they will be removed until the malignancy is gone from the body completely.

There are as many bad republicans as there are democrats. You can search the archives of this site and see where we have been saying this for years. We are all getting screwed by both sides of the isle.

Perhaps it took electing a “community organizer” that is unqualified and unfit to govern to show Americans the way to the end of this nightmare we find ourselves in today.

I don’t know when it will end. I was hoping that Ross Perot was here to show us the way, but he turned out to not really want the job, and the rest as they say is history.

But there are several things that need to be pointed out here. The fact the people are willing to vote with an almost reckless abandon for anyone that come along . . . even a lot of no name newcomers should tell the national media something. The people are tired of being sold a bill of goods by the media.

An example of the media calling the shots would be health care reform. This idea was roundly rejected in polls, but the national media was right there to back Obama and Pelosi.

All of the research showed this. Americans are not willing to foot the bill for the lazy and inept.

Obama and Pelosi would have none of this. They pressed ahead, disregarding and more importantly DISRESPECTING the will of the people. You shit heals in the media can spin this anyway you want, but this is exactly what will cause Obama’s undoing. Its what will make him the next Jimmy Carter.

The level of arrogance from the left. The morons in Washington thought that the fact that America elected a black man gave them carte blanche to do whatever they wanted in Washington.

Wrong. The people that call themselves “politicians” are really the people that are crippling America.

Look at where we are today as compared to twenty, even ten years ago. Politicians from both sides of the isle, have squandered American wealth in an attempt to quell a floundering economy. Both democrats and republicans have been on a spending spree with little or no regard to the ramifications to their actions.

Media ridicule of the tea party. Lets not forget that the media treated the tea party members as ” Racists and bigots” at all of the town hall meetings. This behavior by the media continues today.

The national media attacked the tea party members and portrayed them as absconders, almost criminals that were acting in a covert manner to undermine the Obama administration.

Make no mistake. This was being orchestrated from the White House. If you cannot stand the message, you kill the messenger. This is an old favorite for both parties. This too shall come to pass.

In conclusion, I am pissed. People are pissed. A very small percentage of people are seeing the light. They see that both sides of the isle are boning them and not using any lube.

When the dust settles, and the incumbents fall by the wayside, keep in mind what drove us to this point. LIBERAL DEMOCRATS and the MEDIA.

I have been saying for years to shuffle the deck. This means exactly what it says. Screw party. Screw ideology. Vote for whoever is fresh blood. JD

Letter Grades for Cars . . . WTF?

Obama field of dreams dreamer funny Obama pipe dreams idiots So this is Obama’s big plan to fix the economy? You have to be kidding me. With all the problems facing Americans today, this is what Obama and his cohorts come up with . . . that’s embarrassing!

In order for a car to achieve an A+, the car would have to get 117 miles per gallon or MPG. I guess only bicycles will get an A+ for the first 100 years.

Are the people at the EPA and Obama out of their minds? How can these dullards even justify suggesting this kind of nonsense when after 2 years in office, the American economy is still in the toilet.

It doesn’t matter if its the economy that Obama inherited from GW Bush. Obama had all these great ideas during the 2008 campaign and has followed through on only one, Health Care Reform, which will in all eventuality bankrupt America. Now after two years in office, Obama wants to deflect blame back on Bush? WTF???

The malaise and stagnation of the American economy is a direct result of blunders and policy coming directly from the Obama Administration. Other world economies are growing. India had 8 percent growth this year. Germany, who is pulling back from their socialist past and CUTTING SPENDING AND TAXES grew 7.6 percent. Even the Russian economy grew at 4 percent.

Meanwhile here in America, we have a president in Obama, who has done exactly the wrong thing at precisely the right time. It so reminds me and everyone old enough to remember of Jimmy Carter. In fact there are many economists that call Obama’s presidency the second term of Jimmy Carter.

Reforming health care, raising taxes, letting tax breaks run out, all of these actions by Obama and the democrats take money out of the economy. They cause an economy to falter.

It has not gotten to the point that even the liberal media that helped elect Obama have begun to ask the questions that should have been asked during the campaign. Mainly, what is Obama going to do to fix the economy.

Amazingly enough, the silence from Obama and the idiots he calls advisers has been deafening, with the exception of the usual platitudes like, “The fed stands at the ready to throw more money at the situation” and “Blame the republicans for stonewalling what doesn’t work anyway.”

For the ardent defenders of the messiah, cutting taxes gives people more money to spend and more importantly, pay off debt. Throwing money at the recession that isn’t even worth the paper that its printed on solves nothing and this has been proven in the last two and a half years.

That’s right, for those of you to loaded from bong hits to remember, GW Bush sent the first stimulus package through. All of these stimulus packages have done little or nothing to help the economy.

So America will continue along moving sideways. Our taxes will go up. We will all sit back and watch the house and senate go back to the republicans like it did in 1994 ala Bill Clinton and his own ineptness that sent us into an economic tailspin. Its going to be a long two years. JD

Corporate America preparing to be gouged to cover health law costs

For all of you simpletons that thought that health care reform was a good idea and it was a way to stick it to the rich Americans,  let me explain corporate America to you.

John Deere makes tractors and farming equipment.  Lets use nice round numbers here to keep it simple enough for the simpletons.  Lets say a tractor used to harvest corn cost 10,000 dollars.  A can of corn today is two dollars US.

This same tractor will cost roughly 1,000 dollars a year to maintain and fill with fuel.   All of this is factored into what you pay for corn at the market.

Suddenly the John Deere Manufacturing Corporation has to shell out an addditional 250 million dollars a year for socialized medicine.   The cost of their product,  in this case the tractor that harvests your corn, as well as all associated replacement parts is going to have to go up to make up the difference.

Your can of corn just went up a dollar a can.  Of course the reach of John Deere in the American economy goes much deeper than just a can of corn,  but you should be able to grasp the concept.

The same goes for Caterpillar.  Again for those of you that don’t know,  Caterpillar makes a large percentage of the drive trains that push trucks across America with the goods and foods that you buy every day.  Expect the price of virtually everything to go up exponentially.

Now I ask you,  how could this possibly be good for the American economy?    Bob

A pair of top U.S. industrial companies gave some of the first estimates of what the nation’s healthcare overhaul will cost them, although an Obama administration official called the moves premature.

Deere & Co (DE.N) and Caterpillar Inc (CAT.N) said they are expecting a combined $250 million in charges this year as a result of changes to the $2.5 trillion U.S. healthcare system that President Barack Obama signed into law this week.

But U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke criticized those estimates as premature. The final law is still being tweaked, with the Senate expected to send a revised version of the landmark legislation back to the House of Representatives later on Thursday after eliminating two minor provisions.

“A lot of the regulations on how this will affect big business haven’t even published yet; so for them to come out, I think is premature and irresponsible,” Locke said in an interview on CNBC business television.

Republicans — who had fought the move that was a cornerstone of Democratic President Barack Obama’s domestic policy — jumped on the forecasts as evidence that the change would be damaging to the U.S. economy, which is in a phase of shaky recovery.

“It didn’t take 48 hours before the tax increases in this health care bill started to hit manufacturers and other employers,” said Representative Dave Camp, the top Republican on the tax-writing House Ways and Means Committee. “With over one-half trillion dollars in new taxes, the health care bill is the single largest tax increase in American history. It is a government takeover of health care that families cannot afford and our economy cannot afford.”

At issue in Deere’s and Caterpillar’s forecasts is a provision of the health care reform package that makes a subsidy paid to companies to provide prescription drug coverage to their employees taxable; previously this benefit had not been taxed.

Investors appeared to take the news in stride, as both companies’ shares were up around 2 percent, outpacing the broad Standard & Poor’s 500 index .SPX.

“This is a near-term, quick-hit charge,” said Jeff Windau, an industrial analyst at Edward Jones in St. Louis, who follows both Caterpillar and Deere. “A lot of investors are still looking through to the longer-term question of what’s the economy doing? There’s growth out there and we can handle this one-time charge.”

INVESTOR CONFIDENCE

Despite the political furor around the legislation, Windau said many investors may feel confident that companies that just survived the worst recession since the Great Depression of the 1930s will be able to handle a change in the system.

“Investors have confidence that they can manage these costs as well,” Windau said.

Deere, a maker of farm equipment, said on Thursday it expects its after-tax expenses to rise by about $150 million this year as a result of healthcare reform. [ID:nN25216862]

The Moline, Illinois-based company, which expects the bulk of the costs to come in its current second fiscal quarter, had forecast full-year earnings of about $1.3 billion.

Analysts, on average, had looked for second fiscal quarter profit of $450.6 million, or $1.06 per per share, from Deere, with full-year profit forecast at $1.37 billion, or $3.21 per share, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.

Caterpillar, the world’s largest maker of earth-moving equipment, said in a filing with the SEC after the close of trading on Wednesday that it expects to record a $100 million after-tax charge in the first quarter related to the new law. [ID:nN24185079]

Analysts, on average, had looked for a first quarter profit at Caterpillar of about $280 million, or 45 cents per share.

Caterpillar and Deere are not the first companies to project their costs related to the reform package, which is high on corporate America’s radar since more than 150 million working-age Americans get health benefits from their employers.

Diversified U.S. manufacturer Honeywell International Inc (HON.N) in January estimated that healthcare reform would trim its first quarter earnings by 4 to 5 cents per share.

That forecast — which came at a time when it was unsure whether health care reform would pass at all, let alone what form it would take — surprised investors, who sent Honeywell shares down despite a fourth-quarter earnings report that topped Wall Street forecasts.

A Honeywell spokesman said on Thursday that the company has not updated the earlier cost estimate and would continue to review the legislation.
