Obama Panders to Hispanics, Pushes Congress On Amnesty For Illegal Aliens

vato_obama2

Barack Obama put pressure on Congress on Monday to introduce an immigration reform bill by April, saying the “time has come to fix once and for all” the broken system.

Speaking at the White House at a naturalisation ceremony for 28 people, Obama indicated that he wanted to stick to the timetable he outlined in his inaugural address in January.

Members of Congress directly involved in discussions had been reporting better-than-expected progress over the last few weeks but by the end of last week admitted they had been unable to resolve outstanding differences before breaking for the Easter holiday.

Senators expressed hope that they could have a bill ready within two weeks of their return. Hopes of a deal have been raised by the support coming from Republican senators such as Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, John McCain and Lindsey Graham.

Speaking on Monday, Obama said: “We’ve known for years that our immigration system is broken, that we’re not doing enough to harness the talent and ingenuity of all those who want to work hard and find a place in America. And after avoiding the problem for years, the time has come to fix it once and all. The time has come for comprehensive, sensible immigration reform.”

He added: “We are making progress, but we’ve got to finish the job, because this issue is not new. Everyone pretty much knows what’s broken, everyone knows how to fix it … So I expect a bill to be put forward. I expect the debate to begin next month. I want to sign that bill into law as soon as possible.”

Immigration reform is among the key issues Obama wants to see addressed in his second term. Given the importance of the Latino vote to Obama’s victory in November, the Republicans are more inclined to move on immigration reform than they are on other issues, such as gun laws.

Bipartisan groups in the Senate and the House are working on different versions of immigration reform. The Senate version broadly accepts the idea that reform should contain a pathway to citizenship for the estimated 11 million undocumented workers in the US, but there remains resistance to this among House Republicans, reluctant to reward undocumented workers that entered the US illegally.

Obama, making the case for immigration reform, said: “The point is that unless you are one of the first Americans, unless you are a Native American, you came from someplace else. That’s why we’ve always defined ourselves as a nation of immigrants. And we’ve always been better off for it.”

He reiterated that he regarded reform as tackling the legal immigration system so that families do not have wait years to join someone already in the country and a pathway to citizenship for undocumented workers that includes a background check, learning English, paying taxes, including a penalty, and going to the back of the queue behind everyone trying to get to the US legally.

Obama Channels The Ghost Of MC Hammer, Takes Entourage Of 600 To Israel

obama rapperWhen US President Barack Obama lands Wednesday afternoon in Israel for a 50-hour, much anticipated and discussed visit, he will be the fifth president to visit Israel since its founding almost 65 years ago. During this period there have been 12 different presidents.

That is just one of the facts and figures that are circulating concerning Obama’s visit.

Here are some others: • There have been eight previous US presidential visits, with Bill Clinton making four of those trips, three of them during his first term. George W. Bush came twice in 2008, in the waning days of his presidency.

Jimmy Carter came once in 1979 to push forward the Israel-Egypt peace treaty, and Richard Nixon was the first US president to visit, coming in June 1974 – 55 days before leaving office in disgrace.

• Obama will fly to Israel on Air Force One, and then shuttle from Ben-Gurion Airport to Jerusalem on Marine One, a US Marine Corps helicopter.

• Some 1,000 people will be on hand at Ben-Gurion Airport when he lands at 12:25 p.m. including President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

• The honor guard greeting the president will be manned by 88 soldiers. He will be serenaded by a 50- person IDF orchestra.

• A special counter has been set up at the airport to deal with the hundreds of journalists coming into the country where they can receive their Government Press Office credentials and informational material on Israel.

• At the airport Obama will inspect Israel’s multi-layer defense system, developed with Israeli technology and US funds. This includes the Iron Dome, which intercepts short range rockets; Magic Wand, still under development and designed against short and intermediate missiles; Arrow 2 against long-range missiles; and Arrow 3, still being developed, which will augment Arrow 2.

• Peres will welcome Obama at his residence in a festive ceremony in which three Israeli children will take part: a boy from a community near the Gaza Strip that has come under rocket fire; a girl participating in a science program named after the late Israeli astronaut Ilan Ramon; and an Arab girl from Jaffa.

• Obama’s meeting with Netanyahu, following the ceremony at the President’s Residence in Jerusalem, will be their tenth meeting in their present positions.

• Netanyahu’s gift to Obama will be a gold-plated 0.04 millimeter nano-chip stamped with the US and Israeli declarations of independence. The chip will be placed on a Jerusalem stone from the Second Temple period and is meant to signal the strong ties between the two countries, the Jewish people’s ancient link to the Land of Israel, and Israel’s technological contributions.

• Sarah Netanyahu will present Obama with a silver Seder plate for his wife, to be used at the Seders the Obamas hold each year in the White House; necklaces for his daughters; and a rubber hamburger toy for his dog Bo.

• The dinner at the Prime Minister’s Residence will be cooked by chef Shalom Kadosh, who also cooked for Carter, Clinton and Bush during their visits. Idan Raichel will perform two songs.

• The following evening Obama will be hosted at a state dinner by Peres, where he will receive the Presidential Medal of Distinction. Some 120 guests, including leading politicians, artists, scientists and writers, will dine with him. Rita and David Deor will perform there.

• Some 1,371 people took part in a US Embassy contest to win 20 tickets to see Obama’s keynote speech Thursday at the International Convention Center in Jerusalem to some 600 Israeli university students.

• Obama’s entourage numbers some 600 people, and will take over Jerusalem’s King David Hotel. Spillover from his security detail will be staying at the nearby David Citadel Hotel.

• 5,000 policemen will be charged with protecting the president each day during his visit.

• 1,000 US, Israeli and Jerusalem municipal flags have been raised in Jerusalem in Obama’s honor.

Michelle Obama Wants To Regulate ‘Dog Diets’

michelle-obama-not-happyThis has to be some sort of sick joke, right? Michelle Obama is serious about this? Good God our country truly is doomed if dog diets are what that nitwit Michelle Obama and her dopey husband are concerned with at this point in American history.

I have news for you Michelle. Your concern should be how your husband Barack Obama will be remembered through history, not what our dogs eat.

Our economy is in the toilet more than four years now. Unemployment at its current rate of assent, won’t Bush numbers for 100 years. Our taxes and inflation are out of control, and your concern is what our dogs are eating?

Never mind. I am calling it right now. Obama will be remembered as the biggest failure in American history. JD

During her Google Hangout today, First Lady Michelle Obama reminded the audience that dogs need a proper diet and exercise, just like children do.

The First Lady admitted that President Obama liked to tease their own dog, “Bo” for being lazy, but that they encouraged her girls to take him on walks.

“Dogs are no different,” Michelle Obama explained to a woman on the chat. “You want to make sure they are eating a balanced diet, and if they are not an active dog, make sure that their food is reflective of an inactive dog and then get them out there and throw that ball and get them running.”

The First Lady added that it was important to “worry about every member of our family.”

Kanye West Attacks President Obama’s Domestic Policy In Middle Of Concert

Kanye West Attacks President Obama’s Domestic Policy In Middle Of Concert

Personally I have always thought that Kanye West was a nitwit. He says things that sometimes make little or no sense. However, when a famous African American speaks out against President Obama, it show that more and more people are losing the faith they put in Obama simply because he is half black.

Americans and the media are finally beginning to acknowledge that clearly Obama doesn’t know what he is doing and is so arrogant and self absorbed that he doesn’t care about real Americans and our economy.

Rapper Kanye West launched into a mid-concert rant against a range of people that included corporate executives, Justin Timberlake and one of his most famous public critics – President Barack Obama.

In a performance at London’s Hammersmith Apollo on Saturday, the Chicago-born rapper at one point said: “I don’t give a f–k what the president’s got to say,” to an ecstatic Londonaudience.

The president – also with roots in the city of Chicago — has publicly called West a “jackass.” One example was an off-hand remark picked up by cameras in which Obama commented on West’s interruption of singer Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech at the 2009 Video Music Awards.

On Saturday, Kanye continued to deride the incident, for which he took extensive media ridicule for supporting singer Beyonce’s music video over Swift’s. “And everybody thought I was so crazy. Am I the only one who is not crazy?” Kanye yelled to the cheering London audience.

In a wandering freestyle tone, West went on to take shots at a wide-ranging series of people and topics that included corporations and the Grammy’s. Most of the tirade was prefaced by West asking about the music industry, “Remind me why we in this s—t?”

“I hate business people,” said West. “Since when was making art about getting rich?” Kanye asked the crowd.

In addition to being a musician, West is a film director, fashion designer and beau of reality television star Kim Kardashian. The couple is currently expecting a baby girl sometime in July of this year, US Weekly reports.

Kanye also used the London stage to take a dig at Justin Timberlake and hip-hop friend and collaborator Jay-Z.

“I’ve got love for Hov but I ain’t f–king with that ‘Suit & Tie,’” West also said, apparently taking a shot at Timberlake’s comeback single which features Jay-Z.

Clint Eastwood Deals Sharp Rebuke Of Obama’s Presidency: If DC Doesn’t ‘Give a Damn,’ How Can We?

Clint Eastwood appears to have had enough of President Obama’s domestic policy and a media which is afraid to be critical of the president and tell America how poor a job Obama has done.

Hollywood legend and Republican supporter Clint Eastwood told CNBC that Washington gridlock is sending the nation racing towards another contentious debt deadline.

“It’s almost like they don’t give a damn,” he said, in a “Squawk Box” interview that aired Friday.

The Oscar-winning director who’s also known for his tough-guy roles asked rhetorically, “If they don’t give a damn, why did they expect anybody else to?”

With the deal to avoid the “fiscal cliff” barely in the rearview mirror, President Barack Obama and Republican leaders are on the clock again, scrambling to compromise on a package to replace the already-postponed automatic government spending cuts due to kick-in next month.

Award-winning director and actor Clint Eastwood told CNBC it’s “very disappointing” that American leaders “aren’t stepping up.”
Eastwood described it as “very disappointing” that so little has been accomplished. “The election’s over. We should be moving ahead. The leaders aren’t stepping up,” and he said, “I think they have to hear from the public out there. And maybe the public is a little lackadaisical.”

He was thrust into the political spotlight of the 2012 presidential election — first with the “Halftime in America” Super Bowl commercial he did that year for Chrysler; and then over the summer at the Republican National Convention with the now infamous “empty chair” bit.

“Seemed odd at the time. But, you know, I’m an odd person,” award-winning director and actor Clint Eastwood joked on CNBC.

Addressing criticism from the right that the Chrysler ad seemed like an endorsement for President Obama, Eastwood said his only intention was to inspire. “If there’s a momentum going — which everybody thought there might be at that particular time, at least in the auto industry — then let’s keep it going.”

He also dismissed the controversy surrounding the “invisible Obama” routine at the RNC. “Seemed odd at the time. But, you know, I’m an odd person,” he laughed.

“One thing about getting into the senior status of life, like I am, you don’t really care,” he joked. “You just say what you say and then you get away with it.”
