Storage Wars Nabila Hannis in, Dave Hester out

Once again Dave Hester shows the world that he is nothing more than an arrogant selfish little boy lost in the world of greed and egomania.

Hester was out in L.A. this weekend … sporting a hat with his signature catchphrase on it … when he told a TMZ photographer he hasn’t locked up a deal to return to the show next season.

To me this would be a good thing because although Hester mixes it up with the other people on Storage Wars, he also makes you want to reach into your TV set and strangle him because he is such an arrogant prick.

Enter Nabila Hannis. A&E is playing Nabila as a rival of Dave Hester because I am sure they have seen this coming with Hester being so egocentric that he probably believes that he is the only reason anyone watches the show.

Earth to Dave, Earth to Dave. I have asked many of my friends at work and read the comments on this site and many others, and here is the real reason people watch the show. Men watch to leer at Brandi Passante and see what is found in the lockers, and women seem to like the treasure hunt aspect of the show.

That’s it. Nothing more. Its not you acting like a moron and bidding up lockers against your own perceived enemies, although its funny at times. Its not your dopey hat and stupid truck.

Okay it might be a little to watch the back of your neck because when you look up the back of your neck looks like a pack of hot dogs.

Nabila Hannis is attractive, funny and competitive, has a lot of appeal to a broader audience than you and will hook old geezers like me into watching the show. That’s exactly what A&E wants.

Dave Hester should think that perhaps they have done some internal polling and are finding that he is actually driving viewers away and they don’t want him back.

Dave if your reading this, and I know you are, look up “Jackie The Jokeman Martling” from the Howard Stern Show. Jackie had a great gig with Howard Stern. He made good money, he got free plugs everyday on Howards show, he was on top of the comedy world.

Where is he now? Faded into obscurity just like you will Dave if you leave Storage Wars.

Nice to meet you Nabila. You are a wonderful addition to Storage Wars and pleasing to the eyes as well. JD

    Can’t believe the horrible sexist remarks from immature men on this line about Brandi.  Anyone who’s been married (and they are!) can see they’re are a great team with a great act going.    Jerrod’s man enough to step back & let Brandi do her thing.  Darrell & Brandon add  color to the show and Darrell’s funny as hell.  Barry is just precious, I love him – who doesn’t?    Now there’s Dave – I liked him because he reminds me of a tough boss I had who was a great mentor.   But seeing the reviews of his stores, I’m a little dissapointed that he overcharges and sells junk.  I do re-sale and never sell junk or overcharge, and I keep my customers.  Say it ain’t so, Dave.

    Dave hester was cool, seems to be a great businessman and knows the business. I think the show need him for all the reasons, many are glad he’s out. BUT Nabila will be a great addition and she is a HOTTIE. The first time they showed her, she got googled. OH YEAH

    No wounder A&E axed Dave Hester.  What an embarrassment.

    Network’s wants their shows to be popular, popular meaning watched, watched equals advertising, advertising equals dollars and. we all know television is all about dollars. 

    There’s a big difference between an ‘arrogant character’ and Dave Hester. An ‘arrogant character’ provides humour which Hester doesn’t posses. On the contrary Dave Hester portrays himself in the best ever negative way possible;self-centered, self-serving, self-loathing, materialistic, embarrassing arrogant fool. Although I do like it when he makes a complete ass out of himself calling his co-star Darrel Sheets an idiot; “That’s why people think you’re an idiot Darrel”. YUP Dave, thank you for proved my point!

    Dave is annoying, I’ll agree, but he’s also a great businessman. I’m always amazed by what he can make a profit on. Every shows needs a villain, and I think Dave fits that role perfectly.

    Hester does draw attention to the show, but also in a way makes a few hundreds of viewers quit the show. I think he’s an ass, and that someone needs to teach him a lesson. Barry, my favorite character always gets screwed over by Hester, and Hester always says: “Barry is an easy target.” which puts me at my boiling point. I think one day, Hester is going to get a shitload of Karma, and hopefully, it’s on the show so I can see it.

    I stopped watching strictly because of Dave Hester. I was hooked on the show but literally just because of how awful he is to watch it stopped. He is the most pathetic man and I would love five minutes alone in a locked room with him and just beat him senseless and show him how much of a nothing he is. He does not have one good quality as a human.

      Hester need to be bound and gagged, then locked away in a unit, with a plastic bag taped around his neck, I hate his fucking guts so bad. Someone needs to drown him shoot him and for fucks sake kill him hes a big waste of skin, they have to fuck him up so we never have to watch him ever again, along with nabila the gorilla fucker both are so fucking rotten to have to listen to, put gilligans island back on and stop with this bullshit, they both suck , will someone please do these pricks in and let the rest have some fun, I really cant watch this anymore.

    I actually like Dave Hestor. I think he has his likable moments, such as when he talked about his father. Or when he bought a puppy. He obviously cares about the right things, such as family. Perhaps manipulation on his part, to try to appeal to people, but obviously it’s not working considering the vitriol thrown his way. I find some part of his personality genuine. Makes him a complex individual, rather than just a one dimensional villain.

      Cassie,  did you not see the episodes where Dave Hester villified his brother, or pulled the crap on his own son? I don’t think I have missed enough episodes that I somehow missed enough to give anyone the impression that Dave cares about anything but Dave.     A pro buyer doesn’t need to or want to run somebody up.
    Why would a pro buyer try to burn up someones money by running them up?
    In the long run, it would only cost them big.
     
    First, you could get stuck with it. I’ve certainly seen this happen.
     
    Secondly, why would you want to piss off your competition who might have deep pocket? Very very deep pockets.
     
    Pro buyers pay attention to the unit, and need to double their money. Pro buyers set their limit, and if it goes past, they walk away. Paying retail for a unit is a waste of time and money. Anyone can go to a store and pay retail.
     
    Pro buyers duke it out in the hallway, and then can go out to lunch with each other, and talk and laugh about the auction. If someone thinks that they will bump someone out of the business, …even if they somehow did, there is always someone next in line to take their place.
     
    Some of my best and most trusted friends were my competition in the hallway, and Nabila ain’t one of them.
     
    And honestly, if you want to gamble on lockers, you’ve got a better chance of winning in Vegas.
    Much better.

    You really wanna see some interesting TV? Tell Nabila to show up to a REAL auction here in L.A. With Paco, and Harry, and Mr. Kim, etc, and watch what happens in “reality”. NOW THIS I’D PAY BIG BUCKS TO SEE!! All the Kings horses and all the Kings men, wouldn’t be able to piece Nabila back together again.

    Hester is a tool and frankly he has a lot of psych problems. However, Nabila is a female Dave. The simple fact is that the real star of the show is Barry and Brandi/jared. Barry is hella funny and a real character. If hwe left I would not watch anymore.

    I don’t get it with some of these postings here.
    It appears that a few of the viewers can’t seem to figure it out, that the so called “Bad Guy” in any movie or series, where it is on the big or little screen, is the one that draws the viewers attention to the show.
    If that is Dave’s scripted role, then more power to him, I say. As no matter what goes on with any show, the “Bad Guy” is always getting a lot of attention.
    The reason you may ask? Because, with out that type of role, it would always be dull, as everyone wants to see what the “Bad Guy” is up to and will do next.
    Even cartoons have the so called “Bad Guys”.
    Wake up people and smell the roses..

    You are absolutely right! I can not stand DAVE HESTER! I would love for him to leave the show. I hate watching him. I agree with everything you said. I watch to see what kind of treasures they find. I actually root for the other guys to get a locker and profit, but not for Dave. He is evil. His whole purpose is to sabotage the others. The other guys are just trying to make a living. I would not miss him at all. And I don’t understand why people are intertained by watching someone be an arrogant jerk.

    You are wrong about Dave from where I sit in my TV chair. I think Dave is a funny guy with a good sense of humor, unlike some of the others in the show that don’t project any humor into the show at all. When he comes driving up with his fleet of trucks with “Yuuup” stamped all over them, you have to give him credit for being smart enough to one up the competition in the entertainment industery.
    On top of that it sounds like we might have some “I wish I could be’s” in the story above. He is not only makeing money with the show, but also with his noterity and business.
    I ask you, what is going on with this site? We can safetly bet it isn’t makeing nearly the same amount..  Yuuup!!

    Although i somewhat agree with your posting, i actually find Hester entertaining. I’m a fan of his and know for one it IS tv.  You need to have personalities of all walks of life and he fits that arrogant / egotistical the best.  I hate to sound somewhat sexist, but its a role a man best plays!  Just my .02 cents. :)
