Repo Games Demonstrates High Level Of Stupidity in America

Repo Games. Have you seen it? Its a new reality show on Spike TV, where repo guys disguised as game show hosts wander around town repossessing cars with one catch. If you can answer three of five questions asked by the repo guy, you get to keep your car and have it paid off in full.

The problem with the whole premise of this show is that most people that are stupid enough to allow their car to be repossessed are also so stupid that they cannot answer even the simplest questions.

If fact, there was just a guy that was asked “How many months have the letter E in them?” He answered “7″ because he thought the month of April had an E at the end of it.

Ugh. So this is what television has been reduced to. Stupid reality shows with stupid people. Back to Discovery Channel to watch guys “fishing” with enormous cages for crab. JD

What if you think about this way: In this reality show everyone wins.

The asset recovery company gets paid for doing their job, and maybe something else for being on the show.
Show contestants: Possibility of keeping their car, and in this day’s economy it’s a HUGE deal. Some contestants have been normal people by the way, they got affected by the economy slump.
Advertisers: Another show to show commercials on.
Viewers: We get a new mind numbing show.
Camera crew: Jobs, again, bad economy reference here.
The Economy: Well, I’d say if that I didn’t have to pay my car payment I’d have more money to get back on my feet and go spend some money.

So when you think about it, it’s one of the best uses of television around.
