Mount Baldy in the background

Do I really need to explain it to you? This is why people like me live in Southern California. We have been pummeled by storms for the last month or so. But when the clouds move out, the sun moves in and reveals the mountains covered in snow.
The mountain in the background is called Mount Baldy, but its also known as Mount San Antonio. It gets its name for obvious reasons. Its the highest peak of the San Gabriel Mountains, topping off at 10,068 feet elevation.
For the next week or so we are supposed to see temperatures in the mid sixties and clear skies. You can see these snow covered mountains while standing on a sun soaked beach just thirty miles away.
I just thought I would show everyone what I woke up to today. J

Beautiful…… I have the same view, but from the East:)
The trout ponds are still there. Its a small community but quaint. Worth the visit from time to time. JD
Do you remember the name of the fish farm in the Mount Baldy area? I tried to find it on Google Maps, but was unable to.

My Parents would take us on fishing trips in those mountains when I was a little kid. It was a trout fish farm and I did pretty good.
I yanked a fish out of the water so hard once, that it landed in the middle of some family's picnic blanket while that were having their picnic.
I had to go over and retrive the fish by myself.
