Railgun breaks record for most powerful (VIDEO) gun on the planet

Check out this video that shoots a projectile at seven times the speed of sound. It is not propelled by gun power or any other explosive, but by electromagnets. This is the same type of system that propels many of the nations roller coasters from a dead stop to 100 miles an hour. Enjoy. JD

David Epstein, Columbia professor accused of sex with young relative

Can you imagine a man that will give up everything for sex with children? Whats this world coming to?

A popular Columbia professor was charged Thursday with incest – accused of a sick sex relationship with a female relative, prosecutors said.

Political science Prof. David Epstein, 46, bedded the young woman over a three-year period ending last year, according to court papers.

He was arraigned before a Manhattan judge on a single felony incest count.

“We ask that everyone remember that he is innocent until proven otherwise and that these allegations are nothing more than allegations,” said Epstein’s defense lawyer Matthew Galluzzo.

University spokesman Robert Hornsby said that Epstein “is now on administrative leave and will not be teaching students.”

Epstein, who specializes in American politics and voting rights, has taught at Harvard and Stanford and often is quoted by news organizations. He also has blogged on The Huffington Post.

Sources said the victim was over 18 when the relationship began in 2006 and that the two often exchanged twisted text messages.

Epstein faces up to four years behind bars if convicted.

He was released on his own recognizance.

Mother Nature blows cold as ice on global warming

Well, it appears as if mother nature has completely dispatched the global warming crowd and their notion of the world getting hotter. With climategate and the fact that the last eleven years has shown a massive cooling trend, watching the news and all of the blizzards hitting every corner of the earth, Al Gore and his minions still traverse the globe trying to convince us that we are all going to burn to death.

The idea that Al Gore and his religious cult still believe the global warming myth is akin to Chicken Little believing that the sky is falling. Computer models are just that. They are models that are projected by software. Software can be written to give any desired outcome. Thats the beauty of computers in the first place.

We have been saying this since the “El Nino” myth out here on th left coast. Many may not remember, but back in the mid eighties when the global warming nonsense was just getting traction, there were these idiots out here in California that were trying to convince us that a warm spot in the ocean was causing flooding here in California.

Of course mankind was somehow responsible for this warm spot, and damned if the media and the scientific left were not going to blame humans for it.

Forget about all of the dams and flood control basins that were built up and down the west coast 100 years ago to control flooding that has been happening here for a million years. Somehow what mankind has done in the last thirty years is what caused this recent flooding.

It was preposterous. People were actually buying this nonsense like they were buying the global warming myth.

Today when I turned on my laptop, I read that there has been so much snow in Minnesota that the Metrodome roof collapsed. A blizzard hit Paris. The mid western portion of America is covered in snow like every winter.

The point here is that since the global warming hoax started, has anyone anywhere noticed any significant and enduring change in weather patterns? The answer is a resounding NO!

As we speak, the polar caps that were melting away and were “projected” to raise the ocean levels by as much as five feet, at expanding at an alarming rate.

Whats next? Global cooling? Well everything else seems to be going retro, and seeing how global cooling was the myth of the late sixties and early seventies, perhaps thats where we are heading. JD
