Meth Lab Found At Georgetown University Dorm

WASHINGTON, DC –An alleged meth lab was found on the 9th floor of Harbin Hall, a Georgetown University student dormitory on the 3700 block of O Street NW.

DC Fire Department says that 3 students, 3 security guards and 1 Metropolitan Police officer were exposed. Hazmat units are on the scene and fire officials say the individuals exposed appeared to be okay.

The dormitory in question was being evacuated but officials could not say how many students were living in the dormitory or the size of the lab.

We contacted Georgetown University officials for additional information but they said they were in the process of trying to determine what had happened.

DC Police say they have blocked off several streets surrounding the campus due to the volatility of the chemicals. Drivers are advised to avoid that area.
