You have to enjoy the way other countries run their governments. This is precisely what America needs in DC.

Are you kidding me? How about this headline from Mexico.
“Mexican government warns Americans may be kidnapped, shot, beheaded and killed in Mexico.”
Because that’s exactly what is going on in Mexico right now. The corrupt Mexican government cannot protect its own citizens, and they are telling the illegal aliens in here in America to be careful lest the be “harassed” in Arizona?
Notice that Reuters didn’t make any mention of the turmoil going on in Mexico with their drug wars that to date, have killed more than 2000 people since JANUARY 1, 2010.
If Obama had a set of balls, he would tell the Mexican government to worry more about what is going on in their own backyard and less about what’s going on in America. JD
Reuters- Arizona’s Republican Governor Jan Brewer signed a bill into law last week that makes it a crime to be in the state illegally and requires police to check the status of people they reasonably suspect to be illegal immigrants.
The law, decried by critics as discriminatory, will force immigrants to carry their alien registration documents at all times once it takes effect 90 days after Arizona’s current legislative session ends.
Mexico’s foreign ministry issued a statement saying that Mexicans in Arizona should be aware of the new law and contact their consular representatives if they are unlawfully detained.
“Until it is clearly defined under what criteria, when, where and who the authorities will check, you should assume that every Mexican citizen could be harassed and questioned without cause at any moment,” it said.
The new law prohibits people from being hired from a vehicle on a public street, the statement noted. Undocumented workers in the United States often gather to wait for employers to drive by and pick them up for day jobs as construction workers, farm workers or landscapers.
An estimated 460,000 illegal immigrants live in the desert state, which also straddles the main point of entry for illegal immigrants crossing into the United States from Mexico.
President Barack Obama denounced the Arizona law as misguided and has ordered monitoring of its implementation. White House press secretary Robert Gibbs has warned that other states could also bring in tough immigration laws if there is no national comprehensive immigration reform.
Mexican President Felipe Calderon has said the law criminalizes immigration and opens the door to “intolerance, hate, and discrimination.
To protest against the law, the governor of the Mexican border state of Sonora canceled a June meeting with Arizona officials that would have been the latest in decades of annual cooperation meetings between the two states.
The legislation sparked street protests and has forced hard choices on immigrants, some of whom have lived in Arizona for years.
Gee, I guess American citizens will do the work after all. JD
About 300 employees at Pro’s Ranch Markets’ six Valley supermarkets were let go Tuesday and Wednesday after an initial Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency audit found them to be working illegally in the United States.
The fired employees can appeal the decision, but they are prohibited from working during the process.
Julie Pace, an attorney for Pro’s Ranch Markets, said most of the affected workers gave the company forged documents when asked to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the United States.
Only citizens and non-citizens with work-authorization documentation are permitted to hold jobs in the United States.
“We complied with all the requirements, but they were still able to slip through,” she said.
Pro’s Ranch Markets has about 1,500 employees in the Valley.
The company eventually could be fined as a result of the action.
Pace said Pro’s Ranch Market gave terminated employees packets containing an immigration-resource list, parting message from the company’s president and a $250 grocery gift card.
Pro’s Ranch Market is among 1,654 U.S. businesses, including 84 in Arizona, that have undergone audits of their employee eligibility forms, called I-9 forms, since July 2009.
All employees (citizen and non-citizen) hired after Nov. 6, 1986, must fill out the forms that document their eligibility to work in the United States. Employers are required to maintain the forms and, on request, turn them over to ICE agents for inspection.
Virginia Kice, an ICE spokeswoman, would not say how many of the 84 companies audited in Arizona were found to have illegal workers. Some of the audits are ongoing, she said.
Nationwide, an initial inspection of 85,000 I-9 forms from 654 companies found about 14,000 suspect documents.
The agency fined 61 of the companies a total of $2.3 million.
Pro’s Ranch Markets is based in Ontario, Calif., and maintains a regional headquarters in Phoenix. It operates 12 Latin-themed supermarkets
in Arizona, California, New Mexico and Texas.
This is what it all comes down to here in California. This is what will be historically recorded as the beginning of the end of freedom and liberty. This is what happens when liberalism runs amok.
The Santa Clara Board of Supervisors has decided that a toy included in a McDonalds Happy Meal is responsible for child obesity. The Board members are onvinced that Happy Meals and other food promotions aimed at children could make kids fat as well as happy, county officials in Silicon Valley are poised to outlaw the little toys that often come with high-calorie offerings.
Rather than placing the blame of childhood obesity where it belongs, on the fat, lazy, irresponsible parents, the board of supervisors has decided to do what has become the norm here in California, attack an entire industry. After all, telling parents that they are responsible might offend people, and we’ll have none of that.
Where will it end? After McDonalds, are we going to outlaw Nintendo, Wii, and Playstations? Then Television? After all this is all I see kids doing anymore. As parents, we have created that are out for instant gratification.
This need for instant gratification can be largely attributed to the computers and software that are made in . . . SANTA CLARA! Thats right. Most of the technology that is responsible for making our kids fat and lazy comes from the heart of Silicon Valley, Santa Clara.
I say we attack the computer industry and bankrupt Santa Clara before we attack the fast food industry.
As a kid, I cannot remember a time where I wasn’t riding my bicycle or running as fast as I could to get somewhere. We used to climb trees and play games like hide and seek, freeze tag and kick the can. I put links up because I don’t think anyone remembers how to play games that involve actually moving more than just your thumbs.
Today kids sit around eating crappy food, playing video games and watching TV, all of which is provided by their parents, who are doing everything they can to keep from having to raise and pay attention to their children.
Thats a fact. When my kids were little we noticed this alarming trend where our kids were falling into that lay around and play video games mode, so we created a rule that made them go outside for three hours a day and play in the neighborhood.
Another reason kids are fat is cultural. There are people that have immigrated to America that eat all the wrong foods. This is not the fault of the fast food industry. This is the way these cultures eat. Thats it.
Blame the parents, not the industry.
