Tiger Woods teacher Ms. Decker calls him a liar over racism claim

from TMZ.com

The mystery teacher is speaking out even before her news conference, claiming Tiger Woods’ tale of childhood racism is a lie.

Tiger told a story back in 2005 about how, when he was a child, “a group of sixth graders tied me to a tree, spray-painted the word ‘nigger’ on me, and threw rocks at me. That was my first day of school. And the teacher really didn’t do much of anything.”

Ms. Decker, Tiger’s kindergarten teacher, couldn’t wait, and even before she takes the mic at Gloria Allred’s office at 10:30 AM PT, she’s denying it ever happened, saying, “… no such incident ever occurred to Tiger Woods while he was under [my] care as a kindergarten pupil on the first day of class.”

Allred, released a statement saying, ” No teacher should ever be treated in such a callous and unfair manner especially one such as Ms. Decker. The time for Tiger Woods to make direct amends to her is now.”

Angry Doctor tells Obama supporters to seek care elsewhere

MOUNT DORA, FL. — A doctor who considers the national health-care overhaul to be bad medicine for the country posted a sign on his office door telling patients who voted for President Barack Obama to seek care “elsewhere.”

“I’m not turning anybody away — that would be unethical,” Dr. Jack Cassell, 56, a Mount Dora urologist and a registered Republican opposed to the health plan, told the Orlando Sentinel on Thursday. “But if they read the sign and turn the other way, so be it.”

The sign reads: “If you voted for Obama … seek urologic care elsewhere. Changes to your healthcare begin right now, not in four years.”

Estella Chatman, 67, of Eustis, whose daughter snapped a photo of the typewritten sign, sent the picture to U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson, the Orlando Democrat who riled Republicans last year when he characterized the GOP’s idea of health care as, “If you get sick, America … Die quickly.”

Chatman said she heard about the sign from a friend referred to Cassell after his physician recently died. She said her friend did not want to speak to a reporter but was dismayed by Cassell’s sign.

“He’s going to find another doctor,” she said.

Cassell may be walking a thin line between his right to free speech and his professional obligation, said William Allen, professor of bioethics, law and medical professionalism at the University of Florida’s College of Medicine.

Allen said doctors cannot refuse patients on the basis of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation or disability, but political preference is not one of the legally protected categories specified in civil-rights law. By insisting he does not quiz his patients about their politics and has not turned away patients based on their vote, the doctor is “trying to hold onto the nub of his ethical obligation,” Allen said.

“But this is pushing the limit,” he said.

Cassell, who has practiced medicine in GOP-dominated Lake County since 1988, said he doesn’t quiz his patients about their politics, but he also won’t hide his disdain for the bill Obama signed and the lawmakers who passed it.

In his waiting room, Cassell also has provided his patients with photocopies of a health-care timeline produced by Republican leaders that outlines “major provisions” in the health-care package. The doctor put a sign above the stack of copies that reads: “This is what the morons in Washington have done to your health care. Take one, read it and vote out anyone who voted for it.”

Cassell, whose lawyer wife, Leslie Campione, has declared herself a Republican candidate for Lake County commissioner, said three patients have complained, but most have been “overwhelmingly supportive” of his position.

“They know it’s not good for them,” he said.

Cassell, who previously served as chief of surgery at Florida Hospital Waterman in Tavares, said a patient’s politics would not affect his care for them, although he said he would prefer not to treat people who support the president.

“I can at least make a point,” he said.

The notice on Cassell’s office door could cause some patients to question his judgment or fret about the care they might receive if they don’t share his political views, Allen said. He said doctors are wise to avoid public expressions that can affect the physician-patient relationship.

Erin VanSickle, spokeswoman for the Florida Medical Association, would not comment specifically.

But she noted in an e-mail to the Sentinel that “physicians are extended the same rights to free speech as every other citizen in the United States.”

The outspoken Grayson described Cassell’s sign as “ridiculous.”

“I’m disgusted,” he said. “Maybe he thinks the Hippocratic Oath says, ‘Do no good.’ If this is the face of the right wing in America, it’s the face of cruelty. … Why don’t they change the name of the Republican Party to the Sore Loser Party?”

Nutty Filipinos nailed to the cross on Good Friday

You just gotta love those nutty Filipinos. Nailing themselves to crosses and getting whipped for their sins. At least 23 people were nailed to crosses in three villages in northern Pampanga province’s San Fernando city to mark Good Friday, with foreigners banned from taking part this year except as spectators, said Ching Pangilinan, a city tourism officer and one of the organizers.

No one knows what these people get out of doing this to themselves. Many gathered at San Pedro Cutud, a farming village where devotees dressed in robes and tin crowns walked to a dusty mound carrying wooden crosses on their backs. At the mound, men nailed their hands and feet to the crosses.

Among the devotees was Ruben Enaje, a 49-year-old sign painter who was nailed to a cross for the 24th time as his way of thanking God for his survival after falling from a building.

Mary Jane Mamangon, a 34-year-old rice cake vendor, was the lone female devotee to be nailed to a cross this year in San Juan village. It was her 14th time.

She said she started when she was 18 and has taken part in the annual rites on and off to seek God’s help in saving her ill grandmother and now her younger sister, who is suffering from cancer.

“I do it because I have seen that it works,” she told The Associated Press. “I saw how my grandmother recovered from her illness.”

Most wouldn’t say this, but we here at the brokencountry like to make a mockery of this ridiculous tradition. These people are idiots. Even Catholic church leaders reject such practices. The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines said the real expression of Christian faith during Lent is through repentance and self-renewal, not flagellation or crucifixion.

15 shot, 2 killed as Chicago shooting rampage continues (video)

Obama has done a great job as a community organizer in Chicago. Almost as good a job as he has done as president. Reading media reports about the violence in Chicago that has practically crippled the windy city, there is nary a word mentioned about Chicago being Obama’s home turf.

One can only wonder why this is the case. After all, during the presidential campaign all we heard about Obama was how effective he was a a community organizer in the greater Chicago area, yet now the media and Obama himself seem to have completely forgotten about Chicago and Obama’s stellar work there.

The south side of Chicago is under siege. People are being shot at an alarming rate. Beginning late Thursday and into Friday morning, at least 14 people were shot in Chicago, two of them dying from their injuries.

Three of the shootings occurred in the South Side’s Englewood neighborhood–where one person was killed and six were wounded.

Technically, the mayhem in Chicago could be blamed on Obamacare. Don’t laugh. Now these miscreants can shoot each other and not have to worry about seeing a medical bill because like everything else in their lives, it will be paid for by the taxpayer. JD

Remember real hope and change?

An anti Obama billboard featuring Ronald Reagan goes up along a highway in Minnesota. I see the media and the Obama administration as a bunch of alcoholics that are in denial. I don’t think they know or for that matter even care about the incredible divide they have created across America.
