Oprah Sucks, the real reason Oprah is quitting her show

oprah-winfrey1That’s the real reason that Oprah is giving up her show.    Her show sucks!   Lets face it.  Oprah’s ratings have been falling for years,  she has completely over exposed herself with all her dopey spin off shows,  and she routinely gets duped into putting liars and charlatans on her show in a desperate attempt to boost ratings.

Oprah Winfrey should be ashamed of herself.  She ripped off Phil Donahue for her show format.  Oprah used to do a Jerry Springer type show.   She did this to get ratings.   Then after years of exploiting hayseeds and imbreds from middle America,  Oprah decided to do a more legitimate format,  where she made house wives across America cry on a daily basis.

Oprah Winfrey then made a grave miscalculation when it came to the way America thinks about politics and proved herself to be a bigot at the same time.  She endorsed Barack Obama for president and would not let John McCain come on her show to rebut what Oprah was saying about the republican party and McCain himself.

When questioned as to why she supported Obama,  all Winfrey would say was that Obama was “inspiring.”    She never once asked Obama any hard hitting questions,  and now probably has some regrets.  Not because Obama turned out to be a blithering idiot,  but because she lost the core of her audience.   That would be middle American white women,  who esssentially abandon the Oprah Winfrey Show because of Winfrey’s support of Obama.

Now Oprah is sitting back looking at the rotten cadaver that is her ratings.   Where Oprah used to pull a 14 share in the afternoon ratings,  which is amazingly high for daytime television,   Oprah only gets about a 5 share on her best day.   Its embarrassing.

So you go Oprah.  Use your lame excuse of wanting to start your own network and being tired of doing the day to day grind.   The truth is that Oprah shows up about an hour before showtime,   her whole show is all ready to go,  and she knows little or nothing about who her guest will be until she walks through the door each day.   She does nothing to prepare for the show.   Its over Oprah.  Fade off into obscurity.      JD

    Oprah is more racist then any white person on the planet. She said she was raped when she was 14 by her uncle just to get into a movie. Then she said that was just a lie. Her whole life has been a charade. If she truly was raped, then the guy would had to have been very drunk to screw that ugly woman.

    Glad to see her go.  A good example of power unchecked.  I'm glad she uses some money to put towards good causes (ones that are meaningful to her).  I think most of us would do so ourselves given that staggering wealth.  So, get off your high horse, Oprah, and show some semblance of humility!

    I wanted to like her new network, OWN, but I don't.

    Time to retire.  Put the old girl out to pasture.  Yes, I'm still bitter that for a pre-paid,  two-year subscription to "O" magazine, I only received 8.

    In all seriousness, I wish her well, yet I would pay the devil (or Tony Soprano) a good sum to shut her mouth up once and for all!  Enough is enough.  Retirement should mean just that!

    I hate Oprah more than all of you to the 10th power, however, whose the more fool?  The fool? or the millions of fools who watch her?  Put all of the Oprah viewers in a wood chipper….Feet first…. And we'd have a better planet.

    It is really quite simple.  She presents herself as a liberal, caring person, but she isn't. She is about money. Hear me it is money.  Otherwise if she correlated her content with giving, you will see she is about money for herself.  She VERY SELDOMS gives.  She hords.

    She is the mordern day snake oil salesperson wtith global reach. No redeaming values.  Doesn't care about anyhing but money for herself.

    The OWN Network is another example how out of touch Oprah is.  Viewership of this so called "network" is only 170,000, or staated another way, less than 0.000001% of daily viewers. In other words, she's phoning it in, and it isn't working.  She's putting no effort in the network, just like she puts no effort into her Siris Radio channer, which also has no apparent audience following.  I'll admit that Oprah did have a sucsessful run on daytime television.  Alas, its time to pull the plug on the sho as it is no longer relevant, and the ratings prove that.  I think she's just too spoiled, and no longer willing to put in the effort to make these other ventures sucsessfull. Phoning it in won't cut it anymore.

    So let me get this straight, she started her OWN network because, she was tired of the daily grind of doing a show everyday? Seems to me that doing a full blown network would require alot more time than a daily show. Once again a dopey leftist who thinks the rest of society is as stupid as her viewers.

Oprah completely threw away one of the very few remaining informative and educational channels, and replaced it with more ridiculous Rachel Ray and her best friend who could not get a job on television if her life depended on it. OWN is just more trash TV. Does the big O really think that she will "bring society to a new level of awareness" by showing reruns of Private Benjamin?" How narcissistic is she really? I don't care about her race or gender, etc. I care that she took away the medical channel and replaced it with her trash. So stop pulling your stupid race excuse. You might as well accuse everyone of hating fat people while you are at it…oh wait a minute, that would not suit your agenda at all would it?

    Thank you "Sick of It." You hit the nail right on the head. Take our friend, "Eugene," as an example. His entire magnificent composition is strewn with cliche after cliche, manufactured on the left side of a psychiatric ward. He first demonstrates his own ignorance of the racial plane in his assumption that white people expect things to be handed to them. Could you imagine if a white person made that comment of black people? But no, Eugene, you aren't playing the race card, are you? He then proceeds, in his scholarly endeavor, by implying the "trailer trash" resent the President because he is a black man. Hark!!!! John McCain is white, a war hero and was picking bullets out of his ass while the President was in grade school. Nah, white people didn't factor in this election. The moron goes on and on about Rabid Retard Republicans and that "African Americans should swing you guys from some trees." It just goes to show you, stupidity, intolerance and ignorance come in all packages. Right Eugene??!!

    Can anyone tell me why if you dislike a black person you must be a racist. Oprah is horrible, fake and a borderline narcissist and if she was white I still wouldn't like her. She wants to be seen as the all mighty. She uses her status to manipulate uneducated people to adopt her views. I don't think any TV, movie, athlete etc. should push their political views publicly, because most of us are too dumb to see past the stardom.
    Why is it always about race. Don't get me wrong there are absolutely racist people out there,there always will be, yet minorities almost ALWAYS pull the race card. A guy I work with just filed a lawsuit because he said he did not get a promotion because he was black, however the person who got the promotion was also black. Stop with the race card, how racist can we really be, our president is black. However if you didn't vote for Obama or questioned him you were a racist, couldn't possibly have been that you just didn't agree with his views. You just can't say anything negative against any minority anymore or you are a racist, sorry but the minorities make it more about race than the majority!

      Thanks … I totally agree …. EXCEPT Oprah is NOT a borderline narcissist … she is a full-blown, classic, textbook narcissist.

      She is narcissism to the extreme. Narcissism is more damaging to the family structure and to society in general than many people realize. The big problem today is that most people don't fully understand the dangers of this serious disorder and the narcissists mind and so they trivialize or minimize it. Narcissists are next in line to sociopaths/psychopaths. They are only one step below. So, thanks for your great post.  I just wanted to clear up that point.

      Believe me, Oprah is considerably more dangerous than most people realize.

    Hey Eugene, I think you've got some "masked hatred" issues of your own to deal with. It doesn't matter if it's Oprah Winfrey, Jack Nicholson, Simon Cowell, Katie Couric or Derek Jeter. The issue is displaced hero-worship. I won't have any of it. Race, color or religious affiliations notwithstanding.
    And just for the record that you're so offended that Oprah is being criticized, it was Oprah who made the "I was destined for greatness," comment, and it was Oprah who got into a snit because she and her friend were locked out of that department store in France, after they showed up well after closing time.

    Hmmm…a great deal of hatred here that is being masked. I am sorry to everyone that takes issue with the fact that whites are not simply handed everything anymore. I know life was good when the minorities were not allowed to compete in the marketplace. With that being said, it has now happened and now I constantly hear the trailer trash and worthless crying about events out of their control (he is president, he is black and you all suck).
    I like the last comment from the webmaster where there is an attempt at correcting english that is somewhat incorrect. The dot dot dot comment is perfectly acceptable within both MLA and ALA formats. The things that the writer is referring to are within the previous comments (called an allusion), anything (this means take action). People is correct and since get a life was attached to the statement of get back in the unemployment line, it was not a sentence to begin with.
    Please, please, please in the future research the facts of your statements before you write something (as most Rabid Retard Republicans do), psuedo-intelligence (this is an actual word in several dictionaries) is most offensive. In addition, the racist comment was made because it is clear the intentions of some of the commentors were clearly biased on the pro-white side of the equation. I am not an Oprah fan but I loathe racists and believe African-Americans should begin to "swing you guys from some trees". The country would be a better place when you are all gone.

    I for one, don't watch her show, don't read the books that she wants us to read, when she wants us to read them, don't care a wit about what she says or thinks about anything, politically, socially or otherwise, don't get orgasmic or upset at the mere mention of her name, don't care what Gayle King does or thinks, don't give a flying rat's ass about "Stedman," and couldn't care less if she buys a network, loses a network, is cancelled, renewed or drops off the face of the planet. In other words gang, don't spend your time worrying about Oprah. Get in the game. Forge your own lives and make them better for yourselves and the people that you care about. Like it or not, justified or not, some people will always have an extensive fan base that makes them rich and popular. If you don't like them, ignore them. They realy don't have any power over you unless you give it to them.

    I mainly dislike oprah because she's phony.
    If it wasn't for the michael jackson interview in 1993, she probably wouldn't be where she is today.To date, that is the most watched non-sports program ever. But she had the nerve to talk crap about him several times when he was alive and after he died it took her 4 months to do a show about him and she didn't even do it in front of an audience nor did she sound sincere.
    Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

      cant fault her for that one. Mountains of hard evidence suggest that Jackson was a pedophile (one boy described blotches on Jackson's genitals, which the police found after a strip-search). Jackson paid families tens of millions to buy his way out of jail. Oprah knew this, and was sickened by it–the man should have died in jail. I'm a Jackson fan but there is no getting around the basic truth.

Her success over the years is unparralled, falling ratings or not. Her show has touched millions of people and she has created many, many, many sucess stories and frankly made a lot of people RICH! She has the kind of influence and power that make people wildly succesful after one appearance on her show. And most of those people happen to be White i.e, Dr. Phil and SOOO many others. The comment about her being a racist is not even worth of a rebuttal, it's so RIDICULOUS. And get over the fact that Obama is President! A Black man is President and Black woman is THE MOST successful talk show host ever. They are both BRILLIANT and extremely TALENTED. Theres just no question about it and there sucess speaks for itself. So you go ahead and blog and chat with your racist friends about how much you don't like them and how they're horrible…blah blah blah….and they will go ahead in their continued RICH success impacting and inspiring and paving the way for others.

Today she had a Caucasian guy who apparently had an accident while texting..: ("and how do you feel now, knowing you KILLED two people while texting?)         and if you watched the full episode, you would have seen the black bus driver that killed all of his passengers because he was texting.

      although i don't like oprah, i agree with you.
      A lot of people don't want to except a black person being that powerful.
      When i read about how she allegedly "ripped of phil donahue" my brain said "hmmm". she can't help the fact that her show was better than his.
      I've seen several accusations of oprah being a racist on several sites and i think its ridiculous. If anyone is a racist, it's them!

    Great article. Its amazing how many people are quick to forget Oprah's early years. She was worse than Jerry Springer! Her show was like a circus. I was beginning to think that I was the only one that actually reads about Oprah's sagging ratings and the fact that she is under pressure from the networks to get ratings up without getting suckered into putting on less than honest people. She is a liar and a blatant racist because she only gives money to black charities and causes. Kelly
