Here we go again. Yet another elected official that has failed to pay his income tax. Can you imagine how much Tom Daschle must have earned to owe twice as much to the IRS in back taxes as the average American makes in a single year? $140,000.00 in back taxes? It must be nice. That’s something that has always fascinated me about the American voter. We seem not to care that our elected officials seemingly are elected with nothing but within just a few short years as elected officials they are millionaires.

“Make no mistake, tax cheaters cheat us all, and the IRS should enforce our laws to the letter. ” Sen. Tom Daschle, Congressional Record, May 7, 1998. I actually remember Tom Daschle saying this but I could not remember when. Thank goodness we have Google because Google remembers everything.

Once again our elected officials are not being held to the same standard as the poor working stiff. If that were you or me we would get threatening letters and phone calls from the IRS and be scared to death off going to prison. Tom Daschle was probably doing exactly what he did during the house banking scandal. Nothing. Not breaking a sweat because God help the poor SOB at the IRS that told Tom Daschle or any other congressman or senator that they owed the IRS money.

This is just a tiny piece of the puzzle. Virtually all of our elected officials are dirty skunks that do all kinds of things to expand their wealth and power. Then every election cycle they come out of their plush offices and homes and portray themselves a poor working stiffs that want to help the people. And like the saps that we are, we buy it hook, line and sinker.

A good case in point would be Barack Obama. He portrayed himself as a poor black child that grew up in poverty. He was like every other black American and was downtrodden and kicked around by society. Yet a simple Google search reveals the truth about President Obama.

President Obama grew up in a nice house in Hawaii. He never wanted for anything. He wouldn’t know a black ghetto if he woke up in one. Yet Mr. Obama went out and duped the stupid and inept into thinking he had somehow struggled to get where he was in life. And the MTV watching idiots bought it! I bet that on Election night he sat back and giggled like a school girl about how many suckers are out there in America.

The irony is that the entire democratic party is full of multi millionaires. This completely contradicts their rhetoric when it comes to elections and policy. Remember Bill and Hillary Clinton bashing the wealthy during Bill’s campaign and subsequent presidency? Hillary Clinton’s net worth is estimated at fifty million dollars. Bill Clinton is worth about eighty million dollars. So much for bashing the wealthy.

But every election cycle you hear the same rhetoric from the democrats. They portray republicans as wealthy fat cats that want to keep the poor impoverished and think of nothing but the rich. But the democratic party is comprised of mostly poor and working class lower middle income Americans.

There is yet more irony here. Every four years the democratic party comes out and convinces the rank and file democratic voter that they are somehow being sold short and they are “entitled” to their fair share of the American Dream. The democratic candidate promises all kinds of new programs and legislation that will be designed to help the poor and downtrodden get their fair share of the American dream.

Yet four years later they come out and sell the same bill of goods to the same poor and downtrodden voter. So using simple logic, it would only stand to reason that nothing in the rank and file democratic voters life changed during the previous four years. Why? Stay with me here. Because the Democrats are just like the Republicans. All they care about is themselves! Get it? Good.
