So here we go head first into 2009. I for one have some predictions for the coming four years and the Obama administration.

I predict that like Bill Clinton, Barack Obama will believe he has some sort of “mandate by the people.” I love the phrase “mandate from the people.” They really believe they have cart blanche to do whatever they want. Republicans and democrats. I know most of you can’t remember the Clinton administration because you were too busy thinking of only yourselves, but Bill and Hilary Clinton believed this “mandate” nonsense too and look where that got them. First their attempt to seize health care blew up in their faces, and then they lost control of the then democratically controlled house and senate because they thought that this country wanted to become a socialist country.

Blanket Amnesty for illegal immigrants. You see the liberal mentality here is that they are already here so if the United States would simply make them citizens, they will play by our rules. Nothing could be further from the truth. Here in Southern California, we have a multi-billion dollar a year underground economy and this does not take into account illegal activity. I live about 120 miles from the U.S. Mexican border. Every Saturday and Sunday like gypsies, trucks make the long journey from Tiajuana to the Greater Los Angeles area. Here they go to flea markets and swap meets and sell everything from washers and dryers to living room furniture. They sell produce and every other item you can find in the local super markets. They pay tax on none of it thanks to the North American Free Trade Agreement or NAFTA. Almost all of these people that sell these goods are Mexican American citizens that make huge amounts of money and claim very little of it to the Internal Revenue Service. The rub is that the IRS knows about it but does little to stop it.

Another run at socialized medicine that will cost the democrats the house and the senate again. Here is why we will never have free medicine in America. Because the lawyers, doctors and pharmaceutical lobbies are way too strong and our elected officials are way too beholden to them through campaign contributions. If a deal is struck, expect ten dollar a gallon gasoline to pay for it, which of course isn’t fair because there is a rather large percentage of the population that live in large metropolitan areas and don’t own an automobile. We can also expect the health care industry to get even worse.

Hillary Clinton will be the subject of several investigations. This is a no brainer. First, because the
republicans in Washington despise her, and second, the Secretary of State gig was promised to her by the Obama’s to get her
to drop out of the Presidential race and give the Obama’s her support at the Democratic National Convention. But nobody told Hillary that she would have to resign after the first year under pressure from the Obama’s.

Michelle Obama will be declared the new Jackie-O. She has already been anointed the new Jackie-O. She will do what all women do: Inject herself into the presidency like Hillary Clinton did which will make the Rush Limbaugh’s and

Sean Hannity’s ask just who is wearing the pants in the Obama family. This will cause outrage across America because whether we like it or not, people still listen to talk radio.

Barack Obama likes Churches Fried Chicken over KFC. Once this is learned all democratic campaign funding from KFC will stop. Why is this considered a bigoted statement? It’s no secret that black communities across America have a large number of fried chicken restaurants. Hell I like fried chicken! So it would only stand to reason that black people must like fried chicken.

Barack Obama will not be able to stop smoking cigarettes.President Obama will use this as a reason to yet again attack the very industry that helped to finance both the revolutionary and civil wars.

Life for African Americans will not improve.Contrary to popular belief, things will not improve for African Americans because we have a black President. In fact, when the African American community realizes this, they will show America how angry they are by burning down their own neighborhoods again. Take a long look Barack Obama’s educational career. He didn’t sit in the ghetto crying about what he deserved in life. He went out and achieved. Enough said about that.

Saturday Night Live will not goof on the Obama’s. Come on, this one is a no brainer. Although Barack Obama is half white, for some reason no one in the mainstream media ever makes mention of this. I have an idea for a bit

though if SNL is interested. Get a black comedian and do make-up on one side of his face to make him look white. Then come up with a racial issue that the new President has to make a decision on, and have the comedian be terribly conflicted on the decision by showing him from one side, then the other.

Finally, Nothing will get better for America.We are in a recession and we will go further into debt trying to prevent the inevitable. Our economy is cyclical. No amount of spending will fix this. What Congress should be doing is passing laws that prevent the savings and loan debacle from ever happening again. But the S and L industry also contribute vast sums of money to politicians so this simply will never happen. Besides if Congress did act and passed laws, Lawyers would simply sue to prevent any true reform. JD
